Japan's Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio has extended his heartfelt condolences to Bangladesh in the wake of Cyclone Remal, which has caused devastation in the southern coastal regions of the country.
In a message to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Kishida expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic loss of life and widespread displacement.
"I am deeply saddened to learn that the cyclone that hit Bangladesh has resulted in the loss of many precious lives and the displacement of many people, especially in the southern coastal areas," said Prime Minister Kishida.
Speaking on behalf of the Japanese government, Prime Minister Kishida offered his prayers for the victims and extended his deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones.
He also expressed his sympathy to those affected by the disaster and his sincere hopes for the swift recovery of the affected areas.
"The Government of Japan will spare no effort to provide the necessary support for the swift recovery of the affected areas," Prime Minister Kishida affirmed.
He reiterated Japan's commitment to standing by Bangladesh during this difficult time, stating, "Japan will always stand by Bangladesh as it emerges from this difficult time."
