The government of Oman will issue visas to Bangladeshi nationals in 12 categories, including family visas.
Quoting Sirajul Haque, chairman of Bangladesh Social Club Oman, Times of Oman published a report in this regard yesterday (29 May).
According to the report, the other categories include family visas, visit visas for Bangladeshi nationals living in Gulf Cooperation Council countries, doctors' visas, engineers' visas, nurses' visas, teachers' visas, accountants' visas, investors' visas, and all types of official visas.
On 31 October, 2023, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) banned the issuance of visas for Bangladeshi national across all categories.
Since then, Bangladeshis' arrivals in Oman drop by over 50 percent.
In response to the ban, the Bangladesh embassy in Muscat issued a statement, stating that it would be "temporary in nature".
