Mobile networks in nine coastal districts have been significantly impacted by Cyclone Remal, according to the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB).
Due to disruptions in the electricity supply, approximately 15,000 sites are currently down in these areas, AMTOB said in a press release issued today (27 May).
Mobile network operators are closely working with the Power Authorities, the Posts and Telecommunications Division, and the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to restore the network as quickly as possible, the AMTOB release added.
