Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said on Thursday the killers of Jhenaidah-4 lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar, who was murdered in the Indian state of West Bengal, have been identified.

"We have identified those involved in the murder of MP Anwarul Azim Anar. The names will be disclosed once there is agreement between our country's intelligence agencies and India's intelligence agencies," said the minister in response to questions from journalists at the Secretariat on Thursday (May 23).

Regarding the recovery of the body, the home minister said, "We have not yet recovered the body of Anwarul Azim Anar. The intelligence agencies of both countries are working on the rescue. However, we cannot make any official statements until the body is recovered."

The minister said the government is taking the murder of a member of the parliament very seriously. "Everyone, including the Prime Minister, is addressing the matter with utmost seriousness. We hope to provide you with more information soon," he added.
