The fire that broke out at the Dholaikhal branch of Mutual Trust Bank in Dhaka has been brought under control.
Five firefighting units from Sutrapur and Siddik Bazar fire stations doused the fire around 11:57am, Sutrapur fire station's Senior Station Officer Hasan Ali told the Bangladesh First.
The fire originated at 10:40am at the bank located on the second floor of a four-storey building in Dholaikhal.
Hasan Ali said it is suspected that a short circuit sparked the fire.
