The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has deployed its 418 platoon members across the country to maintain peace and order during the 6th Upazila Parishad Election 2024.
BGB sources said its personnel will work as a ‘mobile team’ and ‘striking force’ to maintain peace and order in the polling areas across the country from 6 May 2024 to 10 May 2024 under the "In Aid to the Civil Power" initiative to support the local administration.
The first phase of the upazila elections will be held tomorrow (8 May) in 152 upazilas around the country.
