The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling essential items across the country today (7 May) at a subsidized rate.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu will inaugurate the program at Ward No. 18 of North City Corporation next to Baridhara Park at 9:30 am.
Three items – rice, lentil and soybean oil - will be sold to one crore family cardholders across the country, including Dhaka, through the designed dealers of the TCB.
As per the latest subsidised rate, rice will be sold at Tk 30 per kg while lentil will be sold at Tk 6o.
Besides, soybean will be sold at TK 100 per litre, according to a press release of the trading corporation.
