Forty more members of the Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) have fled to Bangladesh amidst intense clashes between the Junta government and the Arakan Army, a rebel group based in Rakhine state.

They entered Bangladesh on Friday night through Achar Bunia in Sabrang Rang and Nazirpara border areas.

According to sources, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) disarmed the infiltrators and transported them to Hnila High School. Recently, the BGB sent back 288 Myanmar troops who had taken shelter in Bangladesh.
