Two bogies of an Eid special train bound for Cox’s Bazar derailed on Wednesday (April 24), suspending rail communication between Chattogram and the beach city.

The incident occurred at 9:40am near Dulahazara railway station in Chakaria, as confirmed by Cox’s Bazar railway station master, Golam Rabbani, to Bangladesh First.

He said a rescue train had been dispatched to the scene to salvage the derailed bogies.

Meanwhile, passengers of the derailed train started their journey to Cox’s Bazar by bus following the derailment.
