The member secretary of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, and Power and Port and Jahangirnagar University professor Anu Muhammad has lost all the toes on his left leg in a train accident in the capital.
The incident took place in the Khilgaon Railgate area. He was rescued and brought to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) at around 11:00am on Sunday (21 April), said DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge Bachchu Mia.
According to locals, Anu Muhammad met with an accident while taking the train from Khilgaon to Kamalapur.
All the toes of his left foot were cut off as his leg came under the train.
He is currently undergoing treatment in the emergency department of DMCH.
