The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued a heatwave alert on Wednesday (3 April) for the Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka, and Barishal divisions.
The alert message reads, “The prevailing heatwave over the Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka, and Barishal divisions may continue and spread for the next 72 hours commencing today (3 April).”
The BMD message also warns that people may experience increased discomfort due to rising moisture incursion.
