A total of 1,650 tonnes of onions will arrive from India on Sunday (31 March) night, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu said.
“Since it is a perishable product, 1,650 tonnes of onion will arrive on the first train,” he said after the meeting of a commodity price monitoring task force at the Secretariat on Sunday (31 March).
“Within a day, open sales will be done in Dhaka and Chattogram at Tk 40 per kg through TCB,” he added.
