Renowned band singer Khalid died of heart failure at Comfort Hospital on Green Road in the capital Monday (18 March) evening.
Khalid breathed his last at 7:15 pm, said music producer Isha Khan Duray.
Born in Gopalganj, Khalid embarked on his musical journey in 1981.
He joined the band 'Chime' in 1983, where he served as the lead vocalist. Khalid quickly rose to fame, delivering hit songs one after another, many of which remain popular today.
He is the best known for his songs ‘Shorolotar Protima,’ ‘Hoyni Jabar Bela,’ ‘Himaloy,’ ‘Kono Karonei,’ among dozens of other hits during the 90s and 2000s.
