Renowned Islamic law expert and Hadith scholar Mufti Abdul Malek has been appointed as the Khateeb of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The approval for his appointment was granted by high-ranking government officials on Thursday (17 October). The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced this development in a press release early on Friday (18 October).

Mufti Abdul Malek is a distinguished Islamic scholar who has obtained advanced degrees in Islamic Studies, Hadith, and Islamic jurisprudence from prestigious educational institutions both domestically and internationally.

He is a disciple of the world-renowned Islamic scholar, Mufti Justice Taqi Usmani. Under the guidance of the esteemed Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah, who is a professor at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, he conducted advanced research in Hadith and Islamic law for two years.

He has travelled to various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, and Turkey, and has presented papers at numerous national and international seminars.

To date, he has authored a total of 16 books in Bengali, Arabic, English, and Urdu.

Additionally, he oversees a regular research journal titled Al-Kausar, which is published monthly under his supervision.
