Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that no harassment, lawsuits, or arrests will be made against students and citizens who participated in the people's uprising from 15 July to 8 August.

"The fall of the tyrannical fascist government marked the beginning of a new journey towards building a discrimination-free Bangladesh," said a press release issued by the Home Ministry on Monday (14 October).

"Students and citizens who were actively involved in the protests and worked in favour of this uprising will not face any harassment, lawsuits, or arrests for events related to the uprising that occurred during this period," it added.

The relevant authorities have been instructed to remain vigilant in this matter.

The statement also warned against attempting to gain an undue advantage by providing false information regarding these events.
