The Cyber Unit of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) keeps a close eye on internet activity to make sure that no rumours spoil Durga Puja festivities.

The elite force has expressed its firm stance against the spread of misinformation.

RAB Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman made the comments after inspecting security measures at the Durga Puja pavilion in Banani, Dhaka, on Wednesday.

He informed that RAB’s intelligence operations have been ongoing since 1 October in preparation for the Durga Puja. 

This year, in addition to the police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar, and Coast Guard, along with armed forces will also ensure safety.
