The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain across Bangladesh, with temperatures expected to rise slightly, while further rainfall activity is likely over the next five days

The monsoon remains moderately active over Bangladesh and is in a medium state over the northern Bay of Bengal. Under these conditions, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur in all divisions, including the capital, Dhaka, as per the latest report from the bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

According to the forecast on Saturday (28 September), some areas of the Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, and one or two places in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by light to moderate rain or thundershowers.

In addition, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in certain parts of the country.

Day and night temperatures across the nation could increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

However, from Monday night, over the next 24 hours, most parts of the Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, many areas of Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Barishal, and some places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions are likely to experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain and thundershowers.

Moderate to heavy rainfall may also occur in some areas of the country, with day and night temperatures possibly decreasing by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, the outlook for the next five days indicates an increased likelihood of rain or thundershowers across the country.
