Two more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Friday, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 143 this year.
During the period, 321 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
So far this year, 27,705 dengue cases have been reported, compared to 321,179 cases last year. In 2023, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths.
