The interim government has authorized commissioned officers of the Bangladesh Army to assume magistracy powers for the next 60 days.
According to a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday, these officers will serve as Executive Magistrates across the country.
The order takes immediate effect and will be in force for the designated period of two months.
