A violent clash between two factions of workers resulted in the death of one female worker and injuries to at least three others.
The confrontation occurred in front of the Mascot Garments factory in the Zirabo area of the upazila Tuesday (17 September), said Industrial Police Superintendent Mohammad Sarwar Alam.
The deceased, Rokeya Begum, aged 35, was an assistant sewing machine operator at Mascot Garments.
Police said the conflict between the Mascot and Radiance factions began at approximately 8:45am.
Rokeya Begum's body has been taken to the PMK Hospital in Zirabo, while two of the injured have also been admitted to the hospital.
Authorities have confirmed that there are no roadblocks reported in the area following the incident.
