Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has called on the business community to support the transformation of the nation from a state of decay into a vibrant one.

Referring to the existing discord between workers and owners, he acknowledged the unrest plaguing the garment sector and emphasised the need for joint efforts to address the situation.

"Our primary objective is to ensure that workers and owners work together as a unified team," he said speaking at a discussion with business leaders at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka on Thursday (12 September) afternoon.

At that time Dr Yunus highlighted the importance of social business investments.

Addressing the entrepreneurs, he urged them to invest in social enterprises where no profits would be drawn, encouraging them to establish such ventures in the regions where their businesses are already present.

"I will personally encourage you to take on this noble endeavour," he added.

Dr. Yunus also remarked that opportunities for national progress do not come often.

"We must rise as a healthy and strong nation—no more decay. Such opportunities are rare, and we must not let this one slip away. We are committed to building a new Bangladesh," he asserted.
