Professor Dr Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of BUET for a four-year term, as per a Ministry of Education notification

Professor Dr Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

He is currently serving as a professor in the university's Department of Civil Engineering.

The appointment was made official through a notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Thursday (12 September). 

According to the notification, with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Professor Dr Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman of the Department of Civil Engineering has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of BUET under sections 11(1) and (2) of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Ordinance, 1961.

The terms of his appointment specify that his tenure as vice-xhancellor will be four years from the date he assumes office.

As the chief executive officer of the university, he will be required to reside on campus full-time. 

He will receive benefits as per regulations, and the appointment may be terminated at any time at the discretion of the President and Chancellor.
