The president of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) and former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, along with the president of the Workers' Party and former minister Rashed Khan Menon, former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, have been ordered by the court to be sent to jail.

On Thursday (12 September), after completing their remand period, they were presented before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, where an application was made to detain them in prison.

On this day, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was shown arrested in four separate cases.

During the court proceedings, their legal representatives, Abbas Uddin and Farzana Yasmin, submitted bail petitions.

However, following the hearing, multiple Metropolitan Magistrates denied the bail requests and ordered their immediate detention in jail.
