Bangladesh National Team pacer Mustafizur Rahman did not sustain any internal head injuries, said Comilla Victorians in a statement today.
The incident occurred during a net session earlier today at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, where the pacer, who is representing Comilla Victorians in the BPL, was struck on the head while returning to his run-up.
He was stretched off the field to the ambulance after providing first aid with ice.
"During practice, a ball struck directly at the left parietal area (head) of Mustafizur Rahman. He sustained an open wound in that part, and we promptly applied a compression bandage to stem the bleeding before immediately transferring him to Imperial Hospital," stated the release from the Comilla Victorians franchise, as quoted by its physio, Zahidul Islam Sazal.
