Jatiyo Party (JaPa) chief patron Raushan Ershad, who also claims to be its chairman, has announced to hold the party’s national council of the party on 9 March.
“Our beloved organisation Jatiyo Party is now in dire straits. In view of the demands of the activists and to reorganise the party, I am accepting the responsibility of the party chairman and am announcing that the 10th national council will be held on 9 March,” She said during a press conference at her Gulshan residence on Sunday (18 February).
“Leaders and activists of all levels are standing by me. We all want to reenergise JaPa,” she added.
Raushan said, “Timely national council is paramount for practicing democracy in a party. I have constituted a committee for the successful completion of the event.”
At that time, she also announced the JaPa’s national council committee.
Abu Hossain Babla and Kazi Feroz Rashid have been given positions in the committee.
