Jatiyo Party chairman and leader of the opposition in parliament, GM Quader, alleged that the ruling Awami League has caused significant damage to his party.
"Before the 7th January election, Awami League spread confusion regarding the allocation of parliamentary seats. This confusion, whether intentional or unintentional, greatly harmed our party during the election. It conveyed a wrong message to the people," said GM Quader during a discussion with journalists at the party’s Banani office on Saturday.
"People may align themselves with Ershad's (former President HM Ershad) ideals and form separate groups, but the Jatiya Party remains united. There is no possibility of this party splitting and forming a new one. However, essential reforms within the party are necessary to sustain our politics," added GM Quader.
