BNP might have formed a syndicate to put the government in an embarassing situation and hinder its development spree, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said
“All the activities of Sheikh Hasina's government integrate public interest. Now there may be syndicates formed to embarrass the government in the month of Ramzan. Now we have to check whether BNP is involved in these misdeeds or not,” he said during an exchange meeting with the leaders of Dhaka Metropolitan North-South Jubo Mahila League and Mahila Awami League at the party's central office on Thursday (14 March).
Quader said the BNP has made various attempts at home and abroad to oust the government but failed.
“They [BNP] have failed as a political party and are constantly trying to obstruct the development activities of the government,” he added.
AL Organising Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Afzal Hossain, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Publicity Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan and others were present during the exchange meeting.
