BNP stands against the religious values of the people of the country by announcing to hold political programmes in Ramadan, said Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

“Ramadan is the month of moderation. Even during this month, BNP leaders are talking about continuing the political programme. BNP has stood against the religious values and sentiments of the people by announcing to continue the program in the month of Ramadan,” Obaidul Quader said in a statement on Tuesday (12 March).

“BNP’s programme will cause public suffering even during Ramadan. They do not want to let the people of the country rest in any way,” he added.

Obaidul Quader said BNP will be further disconnected from the people by holding the programmes during Ramadan.

“Awami League government under the leadership of leader Sheikh Hasina is working for the welfare of the people. The government is working hard to ensure that people do not suffer during the month of Ramadan. Bangladesh Awami League has always been and will always be with the people,” he further said.
