BNP has lost touch with reality and failed to understand the will of the people, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said.
“The democracy of this country is safe in the hands of Sheikh Hasina. The development and prosperity of Bangladesh is in the hands of Bangabandhu's daughter. She understands the language of the people, BNP failed to understand it. They have lost touch with reality,” he said during a press briefing at the political office of the AL president in Dhanmondi on Sunday (10 March).
“Some former BNP leaders participated in the election, some of them even won. Even after that, there is no justification for BNP to speak against the government about the election,” he added.
Awami League Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, SM Kamal Hossain, Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Afzal Hossain, Sujit Roy Nandi, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan and others were also present in the briefing.
