Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, has urged the nation to renew its commitment to fulfilling the dream for which students sacrificed their lives, emphasising that there is no alternative but to bring that dream to fruition.

“We may lack the capacity or resources, but there is no opportunity for us to step away from the pledge to realise the dream for which the students gave their lives. We will implement that dream, no matter the obstacles,” Dr Yunus said during a meeting with students at the Chief Adviser’s Office on Sunday (8 September).

This was the first formal meeting between the students and the government since its formation.

He also emphasised the importance of bringing to light the oppression inflicted upon students by the Awami League government.
