In a historic achievement, Bangladesh has whitewashed Pakistan on their home turf, winning the Test series 2-0.

This victory marks a new chapter in Bangladesh cricket, with the team claiming the series after a 10-wicket win in the first Test and a 6-wicket triumph in the second.

Bangladesh has whitewashed an opponent in an away series for the second time, the first being against West Indies team in 2009. However, the significance of this series win is much greater, especially with the 10-wicket victory in the first Test.

For Pakistan, this marks only the second time in their history that they have been whitewashed in a home Test series, the first being a 3-0 defeat to England in 2022.

Chasing a target of 185 runs, Bangladesh secured an easy victory. Openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam laid the foundation with a solid 58-run partnership, scoring 40 and 24 runs respectively.

Najmul Hossain contributed 38 runs, while Mominul Haque added 34. After Mominul's dismissal at 153, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim finished the job, sealing the historic win for Bangladesh.
