The death toll from the devastating floods in Feni has risen to 23 as four more bodies were recovered from various locations in the Sadar, Fulgazi, and Sonagazi upazilas in the last two days, according to the district administration.
Police suspect that the victims drowned in the floodwaters.
Among the deceased, 14 are men, 5 are women, and 4 are children, with 16 of the victims having been identified so far. The identities of the remaining 7 victims have not yet been confirmed.
Since the flood hit the country on 21 August, three people died in Feni Sadar followed by two in Daganbhuiyan, seven in Fulgazi, six in Sonagazi, three in Chhagalnaiya, and two in Parshuram.
