Nazmul Hassan Papon, who led Bangladesh cricket for over a decade, has stepped down as BCB President, with former captain Faruk Ahmed appointed as his successor

The tenure of Nazmul Hassan Papon as the most influential figure in Bangladesh cricket has come to an end.

After holding the reins of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the past twelve years, Papon has officially stepped down following a board meeting on Wednesday (21 August).

His successor, former national team captain Faruk Ahmed, has been appointed as the new president of the BCB.
