Former social welfare minister Dr Dipu Moni was arrested from Baridhara DOHS in Dhaka on Monday (19 August).
Dipu Moni, also joint secretary of the Awami League, has been taken into the custody of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said an official.
Earlier on 15 August, a case was filed against Dipu Moni and her brother Dr JR Wadud Tipu for attacking the residence of Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik, president of the Chandpur District unit BNP.
Besides, 510 known and 1000-1200 unnamed people have been accused in the case.
