Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel said the current situation is not yet favorable for reopening educational institutions.
The education minister made this statement during a media briefing on Wednesday (24 July) as most of the public and private institions resumed operation following suspension caused by student movement, which was followed by a nationwide curfew since last Friday night.
"The government's main priority is to complete the ongoing Higher Secondary School (HSC) exams," he added.
On 18 July, the government postponed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under all boards, scheduled for 21, 23, and 25 July, due to the student protests that claimed around 197 lives across the country.
