The government has deployed the Border Guard of Bangladesh in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Bogura to maintain law and order situation in response to nationwide protests against the quota system.
Shariful Alam, Deputy Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed the news to the Bangladesh First.
The deployment came amid reports of several deaths across the country.
