The budget proposal for the financial year 2024-25 has been approved by the cabinet.
The approval came during a special meeting of the cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at around 12pm on Thursday (6 June).
President Mohammed Shahabuddin will sign the proposal approved by the cabinet.
Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmood Ali will present the budget for the financial year 2024-25 at 3pm, the 53rd budget of the country, the 25th budget of the Awami League government and the first budget of this finance minister.
