More than 3.70 lakh out of 19,00,151 approved positions in the government are vacant, Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain said on Tuesday (May 28).
He revealed the data at a dialogue of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum at the Secretariat today.
The minister also added that complaints were filed against 351 government job holders in the last 10 years, of whom 41 received major punishment and 140 received moderate punishment. He said 170 employees were acquitted of the allegations.
