The government has released a draft list of 708 individuals who were killed during the student-led mass uprising in July and August 2024. 

The list was published on Tuesday and is available for public viewing on the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) website at [https://medical-info.dghs.gov.bd/](https://medical-info.dghs.gov.bd/), read a public notice signed by Umme Habiba, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The list, compiled from reports gathered from public and private hospitals as well as district sources, identifies the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement. 

The ministry has urged family members, heirs, or representatives of the victims to verify the information. In case any names are missing, they are encouraged to contact local officials, including the deputy commissioner, civil surgeon, upazila nirbahi officer, or upazila health and family planning officer, along with the necessary documentation.

The list will remain available for public review until 6 October, providing an opportunity for families and representatives to verify, correct, or update details such as names and addresses. 

The notice also encouraged individuals with suggestions or additional information to approach the relevant hospital or government facility for updates or clarifications.
