One dengue patient died in the country during the last 24 hours till Monday (16 September) morning, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 264 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals at the same time, it said.
DGHS release also said, “During the period, 206 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city, while 58 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital."
This year, the total number of cases rose to 19,342 and it was 3,21,179 in the last year.
A total of 108 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year, the statement added.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths.
