The Interim Government has strongly condemned the recent attacks on Sufi shrines and mazars across the country.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the government expressed its firm opposition to hate speech and violence targeting religious and cultural sites.
The statement assured the public that those responsible for the attacks would be brought to justice and face stringent legal actions. The law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take necessary steps to protect the religious and cultural sites under threat.
"Bangladesh has been a land of communal harmony and peaceful coexistence for thousands of years," the government emphasised, reiterating its commitment to maintaining this legacy.
The government warned that any attempts to disrupt religious or cultural tolerance would be met with firm, non-discriminatory action.
