BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that despite the downfall of the fascist government through a student-people uprising, conspiracies are still underway to foil the victory.
Fakhrul made the remarks on Friday during a reception event for Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari, the Deputy Press Secretary to former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
"The fascist regime was overthrown by the student-people uprising, but now conspiracies are at play to sabotage this victory. We must confront these conspiracies with unity," Fakhrul stated.
Praising Mushfiqul, Fakhrul said, "Mushfiqul is our hero. He is a hero of our nation. He stood up against the oppression inflicted on us."
Fakhrul also mentioned that many individuals, like Mushfiqul, were forced to leave the country due to the oppressive regime of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
