The mobile phone of Hasnat Abdullah, a key coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, was stolen from his hotel room in Cox's Bazar.

The incident occurred on Thursday (12 September) at midday in a room at the Siliton Residential Hotel, said Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rahmat Ullah.

He stated that Abdullah had informed them of the theft of his Samsung S24 series mobile phone, and police are actively working to recover the device.

Hasnat Abdullah had been resting in his hotel room around 11am when the theft took place.

When asked about the incident during a meeting at Shahid Subhash Hall in the Cox's Bazar Public Library, Abdullah mentioned that the theft had occurred while he was resting.

He arrived in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday to participate in a student-public discussion and was resting at a hotel in the Kalatali zone when the theft occurred.
