Dr Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan of the International Relations Department and Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain of the Sociology Department from Dhaka University (DU) have been appointed as full-time members of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
They will serve as full-time members of the UGC for the next four years, said a notification by the Ministry of Education on Thursday (12 September).
Earlier on 5 September, the government appointed Dr SMA Faiz, a former professor in the Department of Soil, Water and Environment at DU, as chairman of the UGC.
