Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic emerged victorious as the coveted Miss World 2024 at a sumptuous ceremony in Mumbai on Saturday (9 March).
Her Indian counterpart, Sini Shetty, only managed to finish in the top 8.
The first runner-up was Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zaytoun.
Poland's Karolina Bielawska, the current Miss World, crowned her successor at the glitzy finale.
Pyszkova, the second Miss World of the Czech Republic, is the successor of Tatana Kucharova, the 2006 pageant winner.
Pyszkova is a model from the Czech Republic who is pursuing degrees in law and business administration independently, according to the official Miss World website.
Pyszkova founded the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation in her 20s. The model, who is fluent in Polish, German, English, and Slovak, is an advocate for education that supports sustainable development.
"Her proudest moment was opening an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania where she also volunteered. She enjoys playing the transverse flute and the violin, and has a passion for music and art having spent nine years in an art academy," read Pyszkova's profile on the website.
