Bollywood actor Govinda has been injured in an accidental shooting incident. The occurrence took place at approximately 4:45am on Tuesday (1 October), at his residence.

According to reports from Indian media outlet Anandabazar, the injury resulted from a bullet discharged from his own revolver, striking him in the leg. Due to significant blood loss, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Govinda's manager, Shashi Singh, explained that the actor was preparing to attend an event in Kolkata when the incident transpired. Prior to leaving his home, he went to secure his licensed personal pistol. However, the firearm accidentally slipped from his hand and discharged as it fell, resulting in the bullet penetrating his leg. Medical professionals were able to perform surgery to extract the bullet, and reports indicate that he is now recovering well in hospital.

At 60 years of age, Govinda possesses a licensed revolver for personal protection. The incident occurred just before his departure to Kolkata, causing him to collapse in pain after the shot was fired. As of now, Govinda's family has not provided further details regarding his condition.
