The admission test for first year honours courses in 2023-2024 academic session of Rajshahi University (RU) has begun today (5 March).
A total of 1,85,680 students are contesting for 4,438 seats in 59 departments under 10 faculties and two institutes.
The entry tests are scheduled to be held in A, B and C units from March 5 to 7.
On the first day, 76,354 applicants will take the science group examination for C unit. On 6 March, 74,785 applicants will be vying for the arts and humanities group under A unit, while 34,541 applicants will be sitting for the commerce group of B unit on 7 March.
Every day, four tests will be held. The tests will begin from 9 am to 10 am, from 11 am to 12 noon, from 1pm to 2pm and 3.30pm to 4.30pm,
Each of the one-hour tests will be 100 marks and there will be 80 multiple choice questions.
No one submitting an application for admission will be allowed to keep a cell phone, calculator, or any other device that uses memory cards.

In order to hold the admission examinations smoothly, all university exams and academic lectures will be postponed from March 4–7.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Railway's west zone has canceled the weekly vacations for six intercity trains and added 15 more carriages to the intercity trains from March 3 to 7, making travel easier for students and other concerned.
