UNDP vows to aid Bangladesh for LDC graduation: Stefan Liller

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will play a vital role in various development activities of Bangladesh, especially during the LDC graduation, said Stefan Liller, Resident Representative of the UN body.

A delegation led by Liller paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Commerce Ahasanul Islam Titu at his secretariat office on Sunday.

During the meeting, Stefan vowed that the UNDP will stretch its cooperation in Bangladesh’s technical and training activities to achieve its goal.

He greeted the Minister of State for Commerce Titu on his new role.

The state minister for commerce stated at the meeting that the government is trying to develop competent businesspeople and bring high-quality goods from all around the country to the domestic and international markets.

Additional Secretary of Commerce Mohammad Naveed Shafiullah, UNDP's assistant representatives Anwar Haque and Sardar M Asaduzzaman, and Joint Secretary of Commerce Nahid Afroz were present, among others.
