Bangladesh’s economic condition is improving and the countrymen are doing well, said Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmood Ali.
“The economy is heading in a good direction and said the people of the country are doing well. Ask the people, I think the situation is improving,” the minister said in response to reporters' questions at the secretariat on Sunday (3 March) afternoon.
“The price of goods is decreasing in the market, it will decrease further. 50 thousand metric tonnes of onions are coming from India, it will reduce the prices even more,” he added.
At this time the newly appointed Minister of State for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan was also present with the minister.
Regarding the state minister, the finance minister said, “It is good to have a new state minister. The work speed of the Ministry of Finance will increase further.”
Meanwhile, the new Minister of State for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan said, “I will prove my competence through work.”
