Earlier, on 13 February, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal announced that Myanmar had agreed to take back their security force members.
"Myanmar have sent a message to us saying that they will take them back by ship very soon. Hopefully, they will take their members back within 1-2 days. They have no conflict with us, no war," the home minister said.
Since the night of 2 February, Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) have been engaged in combat with the insurgent group, the Arakan Army, along the Naikhongchhari border.
Since then, members of the BGP, the Army, and other security personnel have fled the country and sought refuge in Bangladesh.
